Class Descriptions

  • Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on holding passive poses for extended periods, typically between 3 to 5 minutes or longer. The practice targets the deep connective tissues, such as joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia, rather than the muscles, which are the focus of more active styles of yoga. By holding these poses for extended durations, Yin yoga encourages the body to relax into the stretch, promoting deep flexibility, joint health, and increased circulation.

The practice is often meditative, offering a chance for mental stillness and introspection. Yin yoga can be particularly beneficial for relieving tension, improving joint mobility, and complementing more dynamic forms of exercise or yoga.

  • Slow Flow is a gentle, mindful style of yoga that emphasizes slow, intentional movement, deep breathing, and body awareness. It blends the meditative, flowing sequences of vinyasa yoga with longer, more grounded holds found in hatha yoga.
